10th Annual Ratty Awards
Jedes Jahr veranstaltet die US-Newsgroup rec.arts.tv.* eine Art Pendant zur Emmy-Preisverleihung. Die Usenet-Nutzer können über ihre Lieblingsserien und Darsteller der letzten 12 Monate abstimmen. Viel wert sind solche Internet-Abstimmungen wohl nicht, aber es gibt einen ungefähren Eindruck, welche Serien-Vorlieben die Zielgruppe der technophilen Internet-Nutzer haben.
Das Resultat zeigt dann auch deutliche Unterschiede zu den „offiziellen“ großen Preisverleihungen wie den Emmys. Produktionen von FOX gewinnen 13mal, WB 7mal. HBO endet unter „ferner liefen“.
